Bio

I graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington with my master degree in Counseling and Counselor Education. I worked as a substance-abuse counselor at Larue Memorial Hospital before I earned my doctoral degree from University of Georgia-Athens in Counseling Psychology. After I completed my predoctoral internship at Georgia Institute of Technology, I came back to Taiwan and worked as postdoctoral researcher at National Academy of Civil Service. During my postdoc work, I also received my counseling psychologist license in Taiwan. Now I am an assistant professor in Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling program at National Tsing-Hua University. I am also an Associate Dean of Counseling Center at National Tsing-Hua University.
My research expertise is in Multicultural Psychology and Counseling. I am especially interested in international students and immigrant issues such as acculturation process and resilience factors. I am also dedicated to establish linguistically and culturally appropriate service model for the minority groups. My research team conducted research topics that cover various mental health issues for diversity groups in Taiwan. My goal is to advocate a healthy environment for diverse members in Taiwan and empower minority group members through their resilience and strengths.
