Beyond fracture
       Strong together

The visual identity of ICRM 2026 draws inspiration from the Japanese art of Kintsugi — the practice of repairing broken objects with gold. Rather than concealing fractures, Kintsugi highlights them as part of an object’s history and transformation.

This concept resonates deeply with the theme of this year’s conference, “Resilience in Times of Uncertainty: Transitions, Disruptions, and Adaptive Capacity.” In a rapidly changing world shaped by social, technological, environmental, and geopolitical disruptions, resilience is not merely about returning to a previous state, but about adapting, reconfiguring, and discovering new forms of strength through uncertainty and change.

The Center for Resilience Research at National Tsing Hua University warmly invites scholars, researchers, practitioners, and students from around the world to join ICRM 2026 and contribute to the ongoing conversations on resilience, uncertainty, and adaptive futures.
